1P 076 - Mage Knight Board Game

This episode, which came out very long, we discuss the very popular Mage Knight Board Game. We also discuss all of these Kickstarter projects coming out, even interviewing the designer of Mistfall. After the news and the board game review, Albert interviews Julius and we can delve a little bit deeper into his gamer history.

Thanks for listening!

1P 075 - Forbidden Island & Forbidden Desert (corrected)

This episode is just full of exciting stuff.  First off, we meet the new co-host, Julius.  Then, Julius does an interview with Matt Leacock.  Mr Leacock has published a number of co-op games that are very solo friendly and now has a kickstarter going on for Thunderbirds, a co-op game based on the classic animated show.  We cover two games this time, Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert!  That's something that has only happened once before in this podcast when I covered Lord of the Rings.  Finally, Julius introduces a new segment and I have a giveaway!

1P 072 - Race for the Galaxy: The Gathering Storm

In this latest episode, I cover Race for the Galaxy and it's expansion The Gathering Storm which added solo play to the game via a robot.  I had the opportunity to play this thanks to a "Solitaire Games Around the World" event in which a copy of this game is being sent... around the world!  I also look back at my favorite games this year and then look forward to the upcoming year.

1P 071 - Snowdonia

This first episode of 2015 features an interview with Tony Boydell, designer of Snowdonia and a review of... Snowdonia!  This is a great worker-placement game with lots of hard choices to make and lots of variability in the play.  Games can feel very different, depending on weather, contract cards, train chosen, rubble distribution and scenario.

1P 070 - Escape: The Curse of the Temple

Happy Holidays to all!

Just barely making in at the end of the year.  This final episode for 2014 was recorded the Saturday before Christmas, but being so busy I didn't get to publish it until the Saturday after Christmas.  It's a small episode and I only really cover some very brief news and the game Escape: The Curse of the Temple published by Queen Games.

1P 069 - Pandemic: The Cure

This episode is mercifully short and on only two things... The 1 Player Guild's People's Choice Top 100 Solo Games!!! and Pandemic: The Cure.. the latest disease fighting co-op game by Matt Leacock.  First I go over the top 20 solo games as the people voted.  You can find the remaining 80 on the BGG geeklist.   Then, I look at Pandemic: The Cure.  This is a fun co-op game on fighting disease dice spreading throughout the world.  It's a fun dice game that plays quickly.

1P 066 - Onirim (2nd edition)

In this episode I revisit the now classic game Onirim.  I covered the game on my very first episode and look at it again now that a 2nd edition has been released.  The new edition, not only looks MUCH nicer, but includes an extra 4 expansions (plus an appendix). Not only that, but I talk with the designer, Shadi Torbey about this and the other Oniverse games.

1P 064 - Global Mogul

This is the episode on global economics.   I look at Global Mogul designed by Bill Crenshaw and published by Mayfair games.  This is a worker placement/area control game in which players are making investments and producing goods to fulfill contracts.  This game supports 1-4 players.

1P 062 - Duel in the Dark

This "week" I look at the game Duel in the Dark.  This is a two player game with a solo variant build in.  It is set in WWII Europe.  British bombers are attacking your German cities and you need to defend them from the onslaught.  In this weird game, victory points are gained when other side moves into your space.

I also cover a few other topics including a bit more look at solo RPGing and also GenCon solo friendly games.
